Unemployment not only tips people into poverty, but it keeps them there too. 1.36 million Canadians are out of work (Statistics Canada, 2015), and 39% of unemployed Canadians have given up looking for a job (Harris, 2014). At a CAP Job Club, participants get help and support as they work toward stepping into employment. This is accomplished through an 8-week course, community support, and one-on-one coaching sessions.
A CAP Job Club is designed to equip people with practical tools necessary to find employment while rebuilding their confidence and self-esteem.
