Serve the Poor, Save the Lost, With the Church, Across the Nation
Our vision is to tackle debt, poverty and it’s causes across the nation, always with the Church, always hope, bringing life changing freedom to Canadians trapped in the devastating grip of poverty.
It all starts and ends with Jesus Christ. Jesus runs through our core, our love for Jesus is our motivation and our heart.
Being excellent is realising that the people we serve and the people we work with are worthy of us going beyond: going the extra mile. We do everything as excellently as we can because we serve those who are the least in the world’s eyes, and we serve the greatest – the King of Kings.
Let’s startle people and stun them with generous acts, generous words and generous hearts that reflect a generous God. Let’s surprise people with God’s generosity.
If we have no care, how can the love of God be in us? But we are Christians Against Poverty and we care! Every person we hire, every decision we make and every action we take must have – and will have – compassion at its core.
Passion for the poor so we give the best; passion for souls, so we shout God loud; passion for his Church so we only work through it. Changing lives, changing eternities, changing the Church – Passionate people change things!
It’s simple. There’s work to be done, conferences to be run, lives to be changed – you can do it dull or you can do it fun. So throw on a wig, pick up a harmonica, crack a joke, have a nerf gun fight, have a snow ball fight because why do dull and boring?
Family sticks with each other through thick and thin. It’s real love – there in the good times and the bad. Jesus said that people would know God through our love for each other. We are his family and we are one big CAP family, united behind one big vision.
We step out, we have faith and we get ready on the way. Without courage, we would not exist; without courage, we would not have grown; without courage, we’d never help the hard to help; without courage, we would only attempt the possible. But with God, all things are possible. The next person we save is worth the risk.
